jesse: the first play i wrote was about woody allen changing his name to woody allen. so i wrote this script and i sent it to an agent who was helping me out with my acting and it got to his lawyer. my father came into my room one day and was like “well, really good news and kind of really bad news.” i said ‘oh really, what’s the good news?’ “they read your script.” ‘what’s the bad news?’ “we got a cease and desist letter.”
david: now look at you. you’re working with woody allen on an upcoming movie. did you bring that up to him?
jesse: no. in fact, i thought i would never tell it so i hope you don’t air this.

Interviewer: So Jesse, what is the meaning of life, bro?

Genuinely didn’t know until right now that they were making a movie together. Not sure I’ll be able to handle it.

[On the process of casting Jesse for Predisposed] “We hit it off, he loved the script, and he was in. The most brilliant thing is that in the feature his character is a pianist, and when I walked into his hotel room he had a big keyboard and asked if I wanted him to play something for me. So that was that. We had Eli.” —Philip Dorling [x]
“I’ve been seen in very public places [being very good at] doing things that I have no idea how to do. I finished a movie last night, playing a prodigy pianist, and I don’t play the piano. Last year I created a website, and I don’t know how to type with my left hand.” —Jesse Eisenberg [x]
